AAT in motorsport.
Advanced Autosport Technologies are keen supporters and competitors in motorsport, we sponsored the Heart of England Championship Stage Rally Championship for three years and are involved with many teams and individual competitors. We use motorsport as a test bed for many of our products including race suits, wheels and harnesses. AAT are keen supporters of circuit racing as well as rallying, we have supported teams contesting everything from FIA GT events down to less exotic but no less competitive local and club championships here in the UK.
STAGE RALLYING
AAT have been active in stage rallying for the last 10 years or so, before then it was the directors on their own! During this time there have been many notable results including class wins in the 2000 Heart of England Stage Championship plus outright victory in the 2002 Oakington Challenge. 2005 has seen AAT supported teams win not only their classes but also notch up notable outright victories too. Supported drivers were active in all levels of British Stage rallying from clubman events right up to international events. 2007 saw some excellent results:~
Suzuki. Suzuki dominated their class on the 2007 Global Group Irish Tarmac Championship finishing 1st and 2nd overall.
TQ.com. After a poor start to the season TQ.com driver David Higgins swapped teams and cars and re-found the form that made him the British champion a few years ago.
Roofing Rally Team The Burntwood based rally team are back in a MG Metro 6R4 for 2008, after an unsuccessful 2007 using an Escort Cosworth. Roofing Rally Team use AAT for almost all their motorsport supplies and are upgrading to fully embroidered suits for the 2007 season plus new Stilo intercom and helmets. Co-driver, Erik West, will also be wearing a HANS device for the first time ~ once again supplied by AAT.
CIRCUIT RACING

AAT are now active in the British Touring Car Championship! One of the top 4 saloon series in the world the BTCC is the pinnacle of 'tin-top' racing in the UK and we are very pleased to be helping InFront Motorsport with their racesuits, mechanics wear, helmets, seats, harnesses and HANS device. Whilst this year has been a learning curve for the Hednesford based team they are constantly improving their self built Alfa Romeo and are now a firmly established team. Mark Smith (the driver) is using the light weight GA racing Monza racesuit with a colour scheme designed by the team which also includes full embroidery. The car is fitted with a carbon GA Racing seat and set of lightweight GA Racing 6 point 3" harnesses. You can follow the team's progress on their website here.
AAT have supplied all the race wear, seats, harnesses and wheels to the Emotional Engineering Vauxhall Monaro GT team. A new team run by Allen Orchard there have been tremendous ups and downs during their first few seasons, the downs have been forgotten after an outstanding class win at Mangy Cours in the FIA GT Championship. Once again proving winners use AAT!
We've worked closely with Speads UK distributor and are now supplying the ATS F3 wheel as an OE item here in the UK. Speads are fast becoming a 'must have' for many UK series and we're pleased that our wheels are helping keep weight and costs down! KARTING
We have now tied up with promising kart racer Carla Wellings who is competing in the F6 South East and TKM Super One championships. Carla is now wearing a Mirage kart suit in red and black (to her own design) which is also fully embroidered with logos. You can follow Carla's progress on her website here.
Congratulations go to ee-sport driver James Tanser who took his first class win at the Buckmore Park round of the 125 Endurance Championship. ee-sport are the junoir team for Emotional Engineering and they also wear fully embroidered, made-to-measure suits supplied by AAT. Well done James!
GRASSTRACK
Local grasstrack driver Ian Morson is benefitting from AATs knowledge as he starts his first season in a class 10 special. Ian is using a seat and race suit supplied by AAT plus fuel hose, brake hose and fittings.
